After a quick trip to the bank today in Wake Forest I decided to take a quick flight down the road at Falls of the Neuse Dam. This place has changed considerably over the past decade with the demolition and re-construction of the new bridge not to mention the traffic routing away from this area...now much more enjoyable!
A quick walk up the trail and warmed up the drone at the top which didn't take long considering the iPad mini was already overheating in the heat rendering it pretty useless for live video feeds. The delay was several seconds but I was still able to use it for still images.
I had quite a few people stop and ask questions about the drone to include a park ranger who allowed me to continue thankfully, (thanks Kelly!). I think I spent more time talking instead of flying this time but any chance I can pass along a positive message about this incredible new medium I'll take it!
